Carrathool is a small residential community of 2500 people. Bintech have been supplying Pi’s HaloSense chlorine analysers to the town, providing chlorine control for the town’s water supply since March 2014.
Pi’s CRONOS® HaloSense range of chlorine controllers offer a stable and reliable analyser with a low purchase cost and a low cost of ownership. The chlorine analysers are bufferless, reagentless and have a much reduced pH dependency. They are particularly suited to working in sites where reliability and ease of use are most important.
Carrathool Shire Council provides both a rural and urban water supply to the towns and villages of Hillston, Goolgowi, Merriwagga and Carrathool. Their rural water supply is water that is chlorinated but is not described as drinking water, but for ‘stock and domestic’ purposes only. Their urban water supply provides potable (drinking) water, and consistently meets standards laid down in the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
The Carrathool Shire Council vision is “to protect and promote quality of life in harmony with economic development and environmental sustainability” and their mission is “to provide the community of Carrathool Shire with cost effective works, services and planning”, and both Pi and Bintech are pleased to be helping them achieve these.
