Specialist Training for Pi’s Partners
We were pleased to welcome two engineers from Water Technology Ltd, Pi’s Irish servicing partners, for a two-day training session at our UK headquarters.
Krzysztof Ikwanty and Eamonn Sheehy joined us for a deep dive into our range of water analysis and control solutions. The training focused on both familiar systems and new innovations, including but not limited to:
- Our coagulation controller, CoagSense
- Our new hybrid residual chlorine monitor, Chloribrid®
The CoagSense coagulation controller from Pi is an integrated system that takes various inputs such as pH, flow, temperature, UV254, turbidity, and streaming current to generate a flow-proportional control signal. This signal can be sent to a SCADA system or directly used to regulate a coagulant dosing pump. Since coagulation is influenced by numerous variables that vary by site, like raw water characteristics, coagulant type, post-treatment conditions, and physical factors, Pi knows that a universal solution is not effective. Each water treatment system requires a custom-designed control strategy, a service Pi provides. Each CoagSense is bespoke to each site’s individual requirements.

Chloribrid® is a patented, innovative solution designed to address the limitations of both electrochemical sensors and DPD methods used for online measurement of free or total residual chlorine. By combining these two technologies into a single hybrid instrument, Chloribrid® enhances the reliability and accuracy of chlorine monitoring in water treatment processes. This fusion not only strengthens the resilience of residual chlorine measurement but also supports more robust and dependable water disinfection, offering users the combined benefits of both established technologies without their respective drawbacks.

Pi’s lead service engineer Wes led an in-depth walkthrough of system settings, control logic, and service considerations.
Thanks to our newly equipped training room, Krzysztof and Eamonn were able to work directly with live analyser units and system interfaces, ensuring a practical, real-world learning experience.
“The training was fantastic- the guys at Pi were informative and engaging. It was good to increase our technical knowledge on Pi’s systems and interesting to learn about Pi’s new innovative product releases too.”
We value our strong partnership with Water Technology Ltd. and were delighted to support their team in expanding their technical knowledge. Continued collaboration like this ensures end users across Ireland receive the same high-quality support and service as those in the UK.
