Residual Chlorine Analyser Innovation Showcased During Pi’s Visit to PAAB

Pi’s Sales Director, Dr. Rob Paramore, recently visited PAAB, Pi’s trusted distributor in Sweden. After a scenic drive through the Norwegian and Swedish countryside, Dr. Paramore spent two productive days at PAAB’s headquarters in Säffle, near Sweden’s Vänern Lake, delivering in-depth training to the sales and support team and introducing new product innovations.
Training began with TurbSense®, Pi’s patented turbidity meter. TurbSense® is unique as a probe-based sensor that is capable of delivering resolution as fine as 0.001 NTU in the 0–10 NTU range while meeting ISO 7027 standards. Its patented optical system automatically compensates for background light, optics ageing, zero drift, and window fouling, ensuring consistent accuracy over long periods. TurbSense® is self-calibrating and has stable optical hardware. For a more in depth explanation of how TurbSense works click here.
Rob also discussed the HaloSense residual chlorine analyser, a robust amperometric chlorine measurement system used globally for free chlorine monitoring in potable water, industrial cooling water, and disinfection applications.. HaloSense is designed to deliver precise, reagent-free chlorine measurement with minimal operator intervention.

The main highlight of the visit was the introduction of Chloribrid®, Pi’s innovative hybrid residual chlorine analyser. Chloribrid® combines electrochemical and DPD colorimetric technologies in one system, delivering continuous, real-time, free chlorine monitoring with automatic verification against a DPD reference. This ensures exceptional reliability and confidence in the data. Chloribrid® operates straight out of the box, requires no routine calibration, offers reagent life of over six months, and delivers low-maintenance, high-accuracy measurements, making it ideal for remote installations and critical disinfection control.
